Role-play with a new partner, or add a twist the student has not planned for.
Matching IEP goal

- At school, I eat lunch in the lunchroom. Many students eat there at the same time.
- The lunchroom can get very loud. Chairs scrape and lots of people talk at once.
- Loud sounds can feel too big for my ears. That is okay. Lots of people notice loud sounds.
- The lunch helpers know the lunchroom is loud. They want lunch to feel okay for everyone.
- When it feels too loud, I can wear my headphones. I can also ask a lunch helper if there is a quieter spot to eat.
- With less noise, my body often feels calmer. Lunch is easier then.
